Everything you need before, during, and after your stay in a restored 1925 building — plainly stated, no fine print, no games.
Before You ArriveHouse Policies
The basics for a smooth stay at the hotel.
Check-in3:00 PM. If your room is ready earlier, we'll always try to get you in sooner — just call ahead.
Check-OUT11:00 AM.
Late Check-OutAvailable until 1:00 PM, subject to availability, for a fee of 25% of your nightly rate. Ask the front desk the morning of departure.
Minimum AgeThe primary guest on any reservation must be at least 21 years old and present at check-in with valid photo ID matching the reservation name.
Occupancy & ChildrenEach of our six rooms has its own maximum occupancy, listed on that room's page. Children are welcome; an additional guest fee may apply above double occupancy.
PetsWe're unable to accommodate pets. As a small, 1925 building furnished with antiques and shared common spaces, we don't have a way to do it well. Service animals are always welcome, per the ADA.
SmokingThe Fairhope Hotel is entirely smoke-free, indoors and on all porches and balconies. A cleaning fee applies if we find evidence of smoking in a room.
ParkingOn-site guest parking, including accessible spaces, is available at the property. Additional parking can be found on the surrounding downtown streets.
PaymentWe accept all major credit cards; the property is cashless. A valid credit card in the reservation holder's name is required at check-in.
Cancellation, Deposits & No-Shows
GUARANTEEA valid credit card is required to guarantee every reservation. On our standard rate, 75% of your total reservation cost is charged to that card at the time of booking; the remaining balance is charged on your date of arrival. Taxes and fees are charged separately.
CancellationOur standard rate is partially refundable, on the following schedule:
If you cancel more than 28 days before arrival, you’re charged 10% of the total reservation.
If you cancel 14-28 days before arrival, you’re charged 80% of the total reservation.
If you cancel within 14 days of arrival, you’re charged 100% of the total reservation.
*No-shows are treated the same as a cancellation within 14 days. Fully-refundable and non-refundable rates are also available at booking, each with its own terms — the exact policy for your reservation is always stated on your confirmation.

Terms of useTerms of booking & stay
EFFECTIVE JUNE 2026 · GOVERNED BY THE STATE LAWS OF ALABAMA
Prices & Taxes
Rates shown at booking are per room, per night, and don't include applicable state, county, and local lodging taxes, which are added at checkout. Rates and availability can change until a reservation is confirmed.
Payment & Check-In / Check-Out
See our House Policies above for check-in, check-out, payment, and cancellation terms — they're part of these Terms of Use.
Traveling with Minors
Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian staying in the same room for the full length of the reservation.
Accessibility & Special Needs
See our Accessibility statement below for details on our ADA-accessible room and building limitations. If you have a specific need, contact us before booking and we'll do what we can to accommodate it.
Parking
On-site parking is offered as a courtesy to registered guests and is used at your own risk. The hotel isn't responsible for damage to or theft from vehicles parked on or near the property.
Hotel Conduct & Events
We're a small, six-room historic property, and quiet hours (10 PM–8 AM) are respected out of consideration for other guests and neighboring homes. We reserve the right to remove, without refund, any guest whose conduct disrupts other guests, damages the property, or violates the law.
Liability
The hotel isn't liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property, except where caused by our negligence. Guests use hotel amenities and common areas at their own risk. As a restored 1925 building, some exterior stairs, porches, and walkways reflect the property's original historic construction and do not have handrails; guests use these areas at their own risk, and the hotel is not liable for injury resulting from their use except where caused by our negligence. Guests are financially responsible for any damage they cause to the room or property beyond normal wear.
Force Majeure
We're not responsible for failing to honor a reservation due to events beyond our reasonable control — severe weather, natural disaster, government order, or similar circumstances. In those cases we'll work with you on rebooking or a refund.
Third-Party Bookings
If you booked through a third-party site, that site's terms apply to your payment and cancellation in addition to ours. In case of conflict on stay-related matters, our house policies govern once you're on property.
Use of Personal Information
Governed by our Privacy Policy above.
Waiver & Severability
If we don't enforce any part of these terms on a given occasion, that's not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.
